What We Believe PDF Print E-mail

Our Faith: We Believe...

  • In the Triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit
  • God loves the people of the world, even though we are sinful, rebel against Him, and do not deserve His love.
  • By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them.
  • God desires that all people would be saved and offers that salvation as a free gift, received by faith in Jesus Christ alone.
  • God creates, nourishes, and strengthens our faith through His Word, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper.

Identity: Who We Are
Bethlehem Lutheran Church is congregation affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod who is firmly committed to the ministry of Jesus Christ in Delmar, New York, in the greater Capital District, and in the world. As the Body of Christ we are challenged to reassess the application of our discipleship to meet the changing needs of our congregation, community, and world.

We are a diverse congregation made up of people from different communities, ages, backgrounds, and occupations.  Our congregation seeks to serve people of all ages, offering programs and ministries from birth through retirement.  Christian education, fellowship, service, and caring ministries are offered to everyone, seeking to meet the diverse needs of 21st century Christians.

Located in suburban Albany, our members come from communities around the Capital District.  As an active part of the Capital District, we are involved with many local ministries.   Through our national and international connections, we are able to spread the Good News and meet human needs throughout the world.

Our Mission:

To reach out to all people and bring them into a living relationship with Jesus Christ.
