BLC Quilters
LETTERS OF THANKS TO THE BLC QUILTERS PDF Print E-mail

“It is with our continued gratitude that we send this letter to you for your recent donation of handmade quilts.  Your ongoing support to the patients we serve at the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders is greatly appreciated.

As a child is facing treatment, visiting the clinic, or being admitted into the hospital, it is our desire to find ways to make them as comfortable as possible.  As each member of our team works to support that patient and his/her family, it is our hope to be able to offer thoughtful expressions such as a special quilt made especially for them.  Handmade quilts are such a wonderful way to show the patients how much they are thought of and cared for by others.  The love and effort that goes into creating each quilt is so evident.

To see the smile the quilts can bring to a patient’s face greatly impacts the families, as well as the staff here at the hospital.  Please accept our thanks for your continued support to the patients we treat.”

Sincerely,
Jennifer M. Pearce, M.D., Co-Director
Joanne C. Porter, M.D., Co-Director

“From our Home to your Church Home, we wish to say “thank you” very much for the beautiful handmade quilts.  The residents will love receiving them.

Although the holidays can be a lonesome time for some of our residents, by sharing your love and compassion, you will have brought pleasure to them.”

Sincerely,
Sharon Rappaport, CTRS
