On January 31st Angel Hartle, Pastor Mark Mueller and Jessy Wilson interviewed five 4th year seminarians at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis as possible candidates for the Assistant Pastor position of BLC. The information on these candidates was provided to the Call Committee by the seminary as good potential matches for Bethlehem Lutheran Church based on the job description created by our Staffing Task Force. On February 5th, the Call Committee met to review the results of these interviews.
Based on this meeting, the Call Committee made the following recommendation at the Special Voters’ Meeting held on Sunday, February 23rd:
Bethlehem Lutheran Church elects to call a candidate from Concordia Seminary St. Louis,
restricted to the following individuals (without rank):
George “Mike” May
This recommendation was presented and discussed during the Voters’ Meeting. A vote was taken, and the recommendation was approved by the voting members in attendance. Our recommendation was then forwarded on to Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.
Placement decisions will be announced during a Call Day worship service at Concordia Seminary on Tuesday, April 29th.
