HELP FOR THE HOMELESS PDF Print E-mail

Our High School Youth Group made up 150 homeless kits for members of our congregation to give out to needy people with whom we cross paths.  The idea is pretty simple…pick one up after any of our services and put it in your car.   When you see a homeless person asking for help, simply give it to him or her.    Look for boxes throughout the main building that contain kits for the taking.

LADIES’ CANDLELIGHT DINNER COMING MARCH 5, 5:00 PM PDF Print E-mail

Ladies ages 13 to 130 are invited to enjoy an evening of female fellowship, great food and inspiring entertainment.  This year we have a trio of speakers on the topic of Family, Friends and Faith.   Sign-up begins February 5th so keep an eye out for the beautiful sign-up boards.  We’ll be signing up by table so one name per line please.  Everyone brings a dish to share which makes this a delicious affair.  Mark your calendars now and plan to attend this wonderful event.  For information contact Diane Mineau, 852-8532.

FEBRUARY SONSHINE BARNYARD ROUNDUP VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL PDF Print E-mail

February Sonshine Barnyard Roundup Vacation Bible School willill be here at BLC on Tuesday, February 21 through Thursday, February 23, from 1-4pm with our Celebration Night - Thursday at 7pm!

OUR PRESCHOOL CLASS IS FULL!

Our Vacation Bible School will be February 21, 22 & 23 and it's going to be 'egg-stra' special as the children learn about JESUS EVERYDAY!  We're still looking for a few more adult farmhands to help 'shepherd' the 'half-pints’.  We also need someone (or two) to be in the nursery so some tiny tots’ parents can join us.  Please come help 'cultivate' these young hearts - you will be blessed.

It's time to bring in goodies for our SONshine Front Porch Snacks!  Believe me, the kids 'flock' to the snacks.  Cookies, goldfish and apple juice may be placed by Jesus' feet.  We also still need a lot more cookie bakers to help 'feed' the 300-400 family members who will be at our Thursday Night Celebration.  Please sign up on the bulletin board.  Thank you!

SONshine PEP RALLY! Next Sunday, February 12th --- everyone who will be helping during SONshine should gather in the Overflow Room after our 10:30 worship services.  We'll have a 'quack', I mean quick meeting to talk about the exciting things we'll be doing and answer any questions.  If you can't be there, please contact Farmer Sue at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  God is already at work - come see what He's 'growing'!

Can't make it to SONshine?  Don't get 'down'.  You can still be a part of this ministry by helping to 'feed' the 'kids' tummies.  We're looking for home-made cookies and brownies for our Thursday Night Celebration on February 23 at 7pm.  We also need cookies, apple juice and goldfish for each afternoon.  Please place your gifts at Jesus' feet.  (So appropriate since all our gifts come from Him!)  Come share with us and your heart will feel light as a 'feather'!  THANK YOU!

“CELEBRATE IN SONG” PDF Print E-mail

2017 is a special year because it marks the 500th Anniversary of Martin Luther’s posting of his 95 Theses, the beginning of the Reformation. The Jubilate Singers and Orchestra will present a program of sacred music sharing the Gospel in Song, an approach preferred by Luther. The program will be held at The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, a central location for Lutheran congregations in the Capital Region. Tickets will be available at our congregation with the goal of gathering funds to benefit the Guyanese and Pakistani ministries in our area. More will be shared later but in this Reformation season, please rejoice and support this exciting venture. Save the date: Sunday, April 30, 2017, 4 PM.

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDIES PDF Print E-mail

“In the Beginning, God Created…” - Genesis sets the foundation for all of scripture.  We learn about God’s design for the world, about sin, and about God working out his plan of salvation.  Join Pastor Mueller in the Lounge at 9:15 a.m. as we explore God’s Word in Genesis.

"Who Am I? What Am I Doing Here?" - Have you asked these questions before?   We probably all have at some point in our life and probably none of us are done asking those questions.   Let’s join together and ask those questions and look to God’s Word for some answers.   We will utilize a video from one of my seminary professors and seek to have a better understanding of how we fit not into a place made by human hands but into a biblical world view created by God.  Please join Pastor Josh at 9:15 a.m.  in the Overflow.

Daily Verse

Romans 13:9-10
“The commandments, ?You shall not commit adultery,? ?You shall not murder,? ?You shall not steal,? ?You shall not covet,? and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: ?Love your neighbor as yourself.? Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”
