ELDERS' MEET AND GREET PDF Print E-mail

The Elders will host their annual Meet and Greet on Sunday, October 16 in the Fellowship Hall after each service.  Refreshments will be served. We will not have our usual table set-up, but we will be circulating to meet and greet you and please do the same.  This is our opportunity to say "hello" and introduce ourselves to you if we haven't met you before.  It is our purpose to encourage you in your ongoing spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ.  We are available to pray with you and for you, and be caring, confidential listeners for your concerns, be it illness, a death, or a troubling time in your life.

HALLOWEEN BARN PARTY! PDF Print E-mail

A Halloween Barn Party at Kleinke’s Farm (Kenwood Avenue) is on the calendar for Saturday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m. There will be games for the children, face painting, pumpkin painting, and hayrides (weather permitting).  All ages are welcome to come - with or without costumes.  Help is needed for this fun event. The wonderful farm store will have to be transformed quickly into a space for the party and then put back so the Kleinkes are able to have their store open the next day!!

Please head on over to the BLC Happenings bulletin board in the main building or the white board in the Parish Hall and sign up to lend a hand.

ATTENTION GRANDMAS! PDF Print E-mail

The Women's Ministry Team is organizing small prayer groups with the purpose of praying specifically for our grandchildren and their families.  The groups are called "Grandmas In Touch", which is an offshoot of the international “Moms In Touch” movement.  Here's how it works:  4 women meet together for one hour on a regular basis and pray together.  There is a specific format that can be used to organize the time and guide the prayers.  This is based on the model set up by the “Moms In Touch” group. Groups can be composed of friends or just church women who want to get together.  Meeting times are determined by the group.  If you are interested in forming a group with your friends or joining a group, just sign up on the list on the Women’s Ministry Team bulletin board by the coat track or contact Judy Nestlen (768-2602 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). The Women’s Ministry Team will help you get started.  May the Lord bless your faithfulness.

Daily Verse

John 3:20-21
“Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”
