DINNER FOR EIGHT PDF Print E-mail

“Dinner for Eight – Year Ten” sign up begins September 13th! Look for the sign-up table in the foyer of the main building, pick up a yellow sheet and fill it out.  Everybody needs to sign up even if you were in a group last year, as all new groups will be formed.  Here’s how it works:  Eight people are assigned to a group.  Each group has dinner 4 times during the year in each other’s homes.  The host/hostess is responsible for an entrée, and the others bring the rest.  The occasion can be as causal or as formal as the host/hostess wants it to be.  Anything goes as longa s food is involved.

NYG FUNDRAISERS! PDF Print E-mail

MOE’S AND MENCHIES! -  Head on over to Moe’s and Menchies in Colonie Center on Wednesday, September 23rd and help support our youth who are going to the National Youth Gathering in July 2016!  Coupons will be available in the near future that you can take to Menchies between 2-8 pm and to  Moe’s from 4-8 pm on September 23rd. Twenty percent (20%) of the sales from those coupons will be donated to our National Youth Gathering Fund.  Mark your calendars and look for more information soon!

SOUPER SUNDAY! On October 11, 2015, the students who will be attending the National Youth Gathering will be hosting a SOUPER SUNDAY fund-raiser!  After the 10:30 a.m. worship on that Sunday, there will be an assortment of homemade soups, bread and butter, crackers, beverages, and, of course, desserts!  The youth will man the tables and ladle out the warm, wonderful goodness of soup in an old-fashioned church supper kind-of way.  Join our youth and their loving parents for a time of fellowship, fundraising and Fall fun!  A free-will offering will be taken the day of the event, and an RSVP/reservation for planning will be available during September. Look for the table or call the church office. Mark your calendars for this souper event!  Reservation tickets will be available  September 6th, 13th & 20th in the front foyer of the main building.

DO YOU LIKE A NICE, CLEAN CAR? – The youth are selling Hoffman Car Wash gift certificates to raise funds for the trip to NYG in July 2016.  Full service wash tickets cost $25, and an exterior wash only ticket costs $10.  We receive 50% of the sales!  These make excellent gifts for Christmas or a birthday!  Stop by the table where the Soup Sunday tickets are being distributed, and pick one up then!

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDIES BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 13TH PDF Print E-mail

The Letter to the Romans - The letter sparked a revolution and a reformation.  It has been called the most important letter ever written.  Join Roger Kinsey in the Lounge at 9:30 on Sunday mornings beginning September 13th, for an examination of this letter and its insights into the nature of God and faith.

Rebuilding Broken Relationships - When a relationship has ended badly, how do you know you’re ready to trust again and what does it take to be ready?  This Bible study will take you through the process of trusting and opening up to relationships again.  You will discover how to reinstate closeness appropriately with someone who broke your trust, reestablish appropriate connections in strained relationships, restore former relationships to a healthy dynamic, and engage and be vulnerable in a new relationship.  Join Pastor Mueller in the Overflow Room beginning Sunday September 13th at 9:15 AM.

Daily Verse

John 15:5,8
“?I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. This is to my Father?s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
