Devotional Guide: We hope that you’re making the time to read “20 Days of Discovery” the devotional guide that was included in the information packets you received last week. It’s a wonderful way to make the journey we are on very spiritual and meaningful.

Daily Prayer: We encourage you to pray this simple prayer each day during our campaign:

“Dear God, What would you do through me to accomplish Your vision for our church?  Help me, by Your Spirit, to discern a sacrifice for our capital stewardship campaign that is meaningful and joyful.  Amen.”

Special Web Site: Please be sure to visit www.BuiltTogetherInChrist.com for more information about our capital/stewardship campaign including a link to the architect’s video, which can be found under the “Media” tab.

Commitment Sunday is November 23rd : Our capital/stewardship campaign is a spiritual and prayerful journey that will culminate with a special combined service at 10am on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. After the service, everyone will be invited to a special lunch gathering. We look forward to this joyful celebration and hope that everyone will attend.

THANKSGIVING BASKETS PDF Print E-mail

In preparation for Thanksgiving this year, we gratefully acknowledge our bountiful blessings. But, many of our Bethlehem Lutheran Church neighbors have little with which to celebrate.  The Community Care Team asking for your help in collecting unexpired non-perishable items and Price Chopper gift cards (with receipts attached) in $10 denominations for Thanksgiving gift baskets.  Gift cards may be placed in the offering plate, brought to the BLC office, or a special offering may be made by using the envelopes in the pew and marking them “Price Chopper gift card.”

Food and personal care items needed for baskets include:

stuffing mix

gravy

canned vegetables
canned fruits

sweet potatoes

instant potatoes

various canned fruit pie filling and/or pie kits

complete bread & muffin mixes
pancake mix/syrup

coffee, tea and hot chocolate
toilet paper & paper towels

dish and laundry soap

toothpaste & toothbrushes

jelly

mayonnaise

cereal

These items can be placed in the box marked “Food Pantry” in the front vestibule, between the doors.

Kids love the responsibility of choosing items at the grocery store and placing them in the collection box on Sundays. So, why not make it a family affair again this year?

Daily Verse

John 15:5,8
“?I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. This is to my Father?s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
