Pastor Mark Mueller
Pastor Mark has served as a pastor at Bethlehem since 1999. After receiving his bachelors degree from Concordia College in River Forest, Illinois, he taught in Lutheran elementary schools in Florida and Georgia for six years. Then entering Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, he completed his Masters of Divinity degree in 1999. He has served Bethlehem as an assistant pastor from 1999 to 2004 and as senior pastor since then.
Pastor Mark is married to Bonnie who is a teacher at Our Savior's Lutheran School in Colonie. They have two children: Emily and Timothy.
Pastor Josh Krepel
Pastor Josh has served as associate Pastor at Bethlehem since July 2014. He came to Bethlehem right after graduating from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. Pastor Josh traces his roots back to Oklahoma where he grew up and attended Oklahoma State University. Pastor Josh is in charge of Contemporary worship and outreach and very involved with our youth.
Pastor Josh is married to his best friend, Sarah, they have one son, Caleb. He and Sarah enjoy gardening and visiting new places.
Pastor Dave Dieche
Pastor Dave has served Bethlehem since 2006. Receiving his seminary education at Princeton, he has served as a chaplain at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany since 1997. In addition to his duties at the hospital, Pastor Dave serves us as an assistant pastor, providing welcome visits and care to our members.
Pastor Dave is married to Sue. They have two children: Tad and Meg.
Deacon Karla “Didi” Skultety
Deacon Didi has served as Ministry Team and Family Care Coordinator at BLC since 2012. She is a charter member of the church, a registered nurse, a Stephen Minister, and in 2001 became a commissioned lay deacon. She is married to Tom, and they have two children, Lisa and Steven. They enjoy spending time with family, friends, and grandchildren.
Kathy Glaser is the Director and Head Teacher of the BLC Preschool. Kathy holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She has been the Director/Head Teacher for 15 years.
Besides teaching here at BLC, Kathy is also a member of the contemporary praise band, the adult church choir, the Jubilate Singers and serves as a substitute teacher for the Sunday School.
Kathy has been married to Bob for 33 years. They enjoy hiking and spending time with family. They have a son, Erik, recently married to Tiffany.
Mary Ann Licht
Mary Ann is the Assistant Teacher of the BLC Preschool. She holds a Bachelors of Art's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Mary Ann's teaching background includes being a full day Kindergarten teacher in Atlanta, Georgia and Windermere, Florida, a K-3 Physical Education teacher in Carmel Valley, California, a 1st grade teacher in an Inclusion program in Naperville, Illinois and a PT teacher in a Title 1 program in Okemos, Michigan.
Besides teaching at BLC, Mary Ann is a Middle School Youth Group Leader, a member of the Endowment Committee, and a member of a Local group.
Mary Ann has been married to Rich for 25 years. They have three children; Elizabeth, Ben and Nate. They enjoy traveling, hiking and attending soccer and lacrosse games.
Lisa Thien has served in the Church Office in varying capacities since the year 2000, and has been the Office Manager since May 2012. Born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, Lisa came to the Capital District when she married her husband, Ted, in 1991. Lisa and Ted have two adult children, Dan and Hannah, who both currently attend Ithaca College.
In her free time, Lisa serves as a Hospice volunteer and also enjoys distance walking, hiking, reading, cooking, time with family, and traveling with her husband.
As BLC’s Business Manager, Marie’s responsibilities include financial administration and oversight of the church’s buildings and grounds. She has attended church at Bethlehem since the 1990s, serving in various volunteer capacities before becoming part of the church staff in June 2013. In her spare time, Marie enjoys spending time as a genealogy researcher, learning about her own family’s history as well as helping others with their family history research.
